I pre-ordered this Collectible Set with high hopes that it would be a very nice additional to my wall of dvd Collectibles … I must say that I am a little (if not a lot) disappointed. I have found that over the years the quality of the collectitibles has gone down hill … both in size and over all quality. This sadly has suffered from the same fate. Over all it comes with a number of DVD’s and Blu-Ray’s, The orginal special edition of Tron, the DVD of Tron Legacy (as well as a digital copy), the Blu-Ray version of Tron: Legacy, and lastly the Blu-Ray (3D only) version of Tron: Legacy. Which is great for the price. But the disks (save the digital copy) are all located INSIDE and STACKED on top of each in the back of the Collectiable Idenity Disk and held in place with a very tough disk locking tab (I broke a finger nail in an effort to remove the disks). So do be careful removing the disks not only to prevent damaging them but…

“Greetings, programs!” It was a long time coming, but the wait was worth it. While theatrical sequels to The Last Starfighter and War Games may or may not come out in the near future, and I am left hoping and praying for big-screen adaptations of Isaac Asimov’s Foundation Series and Doc Smith’s Lenman Series…Tron Legacy is here now (in glorious 3D) courtesy of Disney. I saw it on opening night in 3D with a huge box of kettle corn, a large group of friends…and I was first in line for the showing. Naturally my expectations were high. The Grid To be sure, this movie is visually and audibly stunning in every way. Everyone who was tantalized by the trailers and got excited by the visuals will NOT be disappointed with the art design or special effects. I loved this film! Smart movie and gorgeous art direction. There have been many interesting articles on the metaphors in the movie… I would read some of them before watching. It will really enhance your understanding of the film. |
